18 AprPassover 2011

I am beginning to get the hang of these holidays now that I am getting older. For instance, this week I knew something was up when Daddy and Mommy starting getting rid of all the bread in the house and all these boxes of matzoh started showing up…  It must mean Passover is coming.  I was right.

Along with the all the Matzoh I knew that this would also mean Two big family dinners with lots of yummy food.  Only difference is this year I really got to partake in all the yummy food.  The first night was at my house.  Mommy started preparing and getting all the ingredients for her homemade dishes the day before and then woke up bright and early to start cooking.  If you haven’t figured it out by now….my mommy is a great cook.  Nanna showed up later in the day to make her famous Russian Cabbage soup.  I helped Nanna stir the cabbage and the $100 plus dollars worth of Kosher flanking meat ( nana goes a little overboard). Mommy made an amazing vegetable Matzoh Lasagna.

At our seder Sammy and Hannah read the 4 questions ( but in no time I will be reading them being that I am the youngest) while Daddy lead the Seder.  Then everyone took turns telling the story of Passover and reading from the Haggadah.  We were joined by cousin Jason who always has a smile on his face! The meal was great.  Everyone ate too much food.. which is a really good sign for Passover!  Sammy even ate like 8 peices of gefilte fish.

The next night the seder was at Uncle Seth and Aunt Addie’s house.  Aunt Helene and her son cousin Andrew along with family friend Jan joined us too.  It was lots of fun and always a good time when everyone gets together…..  now I just hope that I will be able to poop in the next week after eating all this Matzoh!!!!!

02 AprDate night with Daddy

Today was daddy daughter date night.  While mommy was working Daddy took me out for the night to Fort Lauderdale Beach.  We got to play in the sand and the water as the sun was setting and then checked out the sights and sounds on Fort Lauderdale’s strip before grabbing a bite to eat at the world famous Primanti Brothers .  I really enjoyed walking around on the strip, people watching and dancing to all the music coming out of the bars and night spots.  And As a good mommy myself I made sure to bring along my dolly so that she could have fun too.  ( make sure to check out the video’s below too)

I love the beach!
